"I can't believe the amount of knowledge and skills I've acquired in the Data Science course, and how much I felt empowered in such a short period of time. I worked hard on the exercises and projects not to get good grades, but because I was inspired and eager to dive into the materials. I'm confident that the data science skills I learned will open up lots of opportunities that I didn't think of before."

Our Data Science & AI alumni have gone on to work at:

First, build an in-depth, practical skill set.

Improving people's livelihoods.

An example of the kind of project you'll be working on.

You will work in a team to address pressing problems in Africa. These include identifying vulnerable households in rural South Africa, forecasting flood frequency and severity in Malawi and predicting traffic congestion and package delivery times in Kenya.

Your team will be tasked with cleaning the data and building a machine learning model that provides actionable insights to improve the livelihoods of the local community. In doing so, you will gain hands-on experience applying the techniques that we cover in class to solve a real-world problem.

Expert teachers who care about you as an individual.

We limit class sizes so that teachers are able to give undivided support and feedback to each student. You’ll be given valuable perspective and expert input the entire time.

Chief Data Scientist at Differential Capital

"The technical barriers to doing data science are becoming smaller and smaller every year. You no longer need access to a supercomputer and a graduate degree in computer science – you can learn how to build cutting edge neural networks in a 20-minute medium tutorial. What’s really going to distinguish data scientists over the next 10 years is the ability to communicate effectively and affect change through their analysis."

What you get at iX.

  • 6 weeks of learning technical career skills.
  • An Internship with valuable practical experience to showcase on your resume.
  • New friends & global connections.
